just a thought

Today was a good day. I was able to get up and just think, pray, read and reflect. I got a really cool picture about freedom :-)

God has called us to freedom through Christ, its ours. And the scripture says that freedom is where the Spirit of the Lord is. He also tells us that we are to cast our cares on Him when we come into His presence. Set aside things and focus on Him. Think about it: when we do that, when we let go of what is in our hands, what is on our minds, those things we hold onto in our hearts, we no longer have anything holding us down. Our hands are free to be lifted, our hearts are free to worship, our minds are free to focus on Him. It's a simple truth but yet so powerful.

Just wanted to share that with you all :-)

Blessings til next time!

Morning Revelation

God is not subject to us. We are subject to him. If we hold God as "whoever He is" to us we've distorted Him, placed Him in a box and have a totally messed up understanding of Him. When God is subject to us it looks like this: you are angry and unforgiving, then God is an angry God who is unforgiving of the things you do. You can't love someone then God surely can't love you.

But when we are subject to God the heavens are open. God is love so we are able to love. God is healer and He has given some the gift of healing. God is a god of order and has therefore given some the gift of administration. God is king, our master, our leader and has given those gifts of leadership. God is our shepherd, our teacher and he has gifted some with teaching and shepherding (pastors and teachers). Being subject to God is stepping aside and allowing God to rightly be Him in everything and being who He says we are and reflecting who He is.

We were created in His image, not Him in ours. Let's not get it twisted.
